Day 22-Favorite city
This is a hard one. I have been to a handful of different places. I didn't LOVE New York City or Boston, I enjoyed D.C., I loved Lewisville, PA, I enjoyed living in Salt Lake, I like Cedar City, but I think I would have to say that I just like home, in Laguna Hills, the best. There is something about staying in the same house your entire life. I never moved, always had the same bedroom, went to on elementary, middle, and high school and grew up with (roughly) the same people from kindergarten through high school graduation.
So, I would say Laguna Hills, CA. That is my favorite city. Why? It is home. It is where I grew up. My family is there, and those who have seen me grow up, develop, and mature. I love it, and am so thankful that I was able to be raised in such a beautiful place.

That Thing Called Love.
Day 21-Your love life
This is blank. Because it is non-existent.
I have been on 2 dates since living in Cedar City.
I have lots of friends.
Life is great!

My Name Is...
Day 20-Nicknames
Different people call me different things. Some are odd. Some make sense. Most of them have somehow come from my name, Rebekah.
These are all of the ones that I can think of:

Live Your Life
Day 18-Something you regret
I try not to regret things in my life. If you regret things, you dwell on them. My goal is to learn from my mistakes and do better next time.

Live your life without regrets. At some point you wanted to do what you did. So move on and don't dwell on things in the past.
There is so much beauty in the world. Go out, experience it, and love it.

Life Changing Experiences
Day 17-Something you're looking forward to
INDIA!
I am going to India this summer with Rising Star Outreach. This program is something that I have been excited to work with for three years. I have been raising money for the last 5 (or so) months to be able to go. Look at these children. Don't they just look so incredibly happy? I will be working with them, and be able to play with them, teach them, and just be a friendly face for them to be happy around!
I have a friend, Kenzie Coe, who went with the program two summers ago. Here is her blog that you can read and see more of what goes on.
Also, I am going to be doing study abroad in Germany for a semester. I haven't decided if I will do it this next fall or in fall of 2013. However, I have my application in and have been accepted! So, this is something that I am so incredibly excited for this. I can understand what people say in german, and I can read and write it, however I get very nervous to respond because I don't want to mess up. It also takes me a while to process what they have said if it is more than just one line. I am so excited for this experience to help me with my communicating skills in german!

Changes
Day 16-A picture of you from last year and how you've changed since then
Changes in me in the last year.
1. Moved to Cedar City, Utah. (yes, it is a change 'cause it's so small)
This picture was from late August of 2011. I had just moved to Cedar City, and the only people I knew were the Presidential Ambassadors that I had been on the retreat with (which I still didn't ACTUALLY know) and Jessica Jones, a friend that I knew from Salt Lake (where I had lived for the last two years). We could not figure out how to put this shelf together. So, naturally, I took cardboard, sat on the end of her driveway and waited until someone had pity on me and would help. Luckily, two guys eventually did, and viola! The shelf was quickly put together in about ten minutes.
The reason for the story is because I didn't want to leave that picture unexplained.

2. Major=Human Nutrition
3. I got my cute little rat back in my life. Lily, you are sweet. (and then I had to sell her yesterday.)
4. I have moved twice since then inside of Cedar City.
5. I am a ski instructor at Brian Head. Skiing and snowboarding take up my free time. Never said I was the best at either, but they sure do make me happy!
6. Off the top of my head, I can count 10 pretty close friends that have gotten married. (close meaning I have to go to their wedding or am in the wedding party)
7. I finally used chains on my car! This is my third winter in Utah and it is the first time I have ever broken them out! (this happened to be last week)
There are just some fun, interesting new things in my life in the last year!

Lost without you.
Day 15-Something you can't leave the house with out
I go crazy without it. If I don't write something down in it, you can almost bet that I will not do it, because I will forget and plan something else in that time.
MY PLANNER.
Isn't it cute?!
I write in it. A LOT. This isn't even a packed day either.

I know, a picture very similar to this is on my blog. Well, I love it!
Was a family vacation, and we went spelunking! Always a blast.
Was a family vacation, and we went spelunking! Always a blast.
Our family vacations once again. Daddio is taking the picture. It was a very steep hike. I didn't like that part very much. However, it was very rewarding. Once we got to the rappelling parts, I was much happier with the day!
My brother! Andrew! I love him, quite a lot.

Just Set Your Mind To It
Day 13-Goals
I have so many, however I need to make small goals and focus on one or two at a time to make sure that I follow through with them!
1. Run a half marathon- I was starting to train for one, but then it kept snowing SO much, I slip in the snow walking, it made me nervous to RUN in the slippery, icy, snow!
2. Self control-when I am eating delicious treats, I need to have a small portion and then STOP.
3. Be kind no matter what- Sometimes when I am in an irritable mood, I am rude to those around me if they do things that frustrate me. I know that I choose my mood, and nobody can make me upset, it is my choice. I can be kind and genuine to everyone around me. It might take practice, but it WILL happen one day.
4. No filler words. ex. dang, suck, freaking, heck. There is no reason for them. Plain and simple.
5. Not waste my time with certain things like, facebook, watching shows on the internet, eating (unnecessarily), pinterest.
These are just a few of my goals, more of the big ones, but I have little things that I will do to work on them. Write them down, tell my roommates so that they can remind me, signs around my room, reminders on my phone, etc.

A Testimony To Share
Day 12-What you believe
I believe in so many things. To start, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Some call us "Mormons." I think it is just wonderful. I don't share my beliefs as often as I should, especially now that I am in Utah and "everyone is LDS." However, I would love for everyone to understand how much I truly am grateful for the things that it gives me and the happiness it brings me.
I know that Jesus Christ lives. He is my Savior. He loves me and cares for me (and you) no matter what.

I know that Jesus Christ lives. He is my Savior. He loves me and cares for me (and you) no matter what.
I know that the prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, was called of God and is here to teach and give us guidance in these days. He loves each and every one of us, more than we realize and has our best interest at heart.
(doesn't he just look like the type of man that you could just sit and talk to for hours?)
I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son, and translated the Gold Plates with His help and that is how we have The Book of Mormon today. He was put through so many trials and tribulations yet he still had faith no matter what. I look to him with the utmost respect and love. He never gave up hope and always stood up for his beliefs no matter the pain and suffering he was put through.
I know that families are forever, through the plan of salvation. Though that is sometimes hard to understand, that I will be able to see my family even after we have died, is such a wonderful idea to me. I am no longer afraid to lose my grandmother in this near future, I just know that she will no longer be in pain, she will be able to look down upon us and smile, being so happy for us and what we have all accomplished. She will know that she was such a wonderful influence and her smile and love was contagious. This also reminds me that my family is here with me forever. Not that I don't love them, but sometimes I can be a pain, and think that I don't love them, but I am reminded that no matter what they love me and we will be together forever, and I can count on my parents or siblings at any time.
Here is one of my favorite scriptures:
41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and ahappy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are bblessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out cfaithful to the end they are received into dheaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

I would love to share more of I believe with anyone at anytime. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life to have the understanding of the Saviors love for me and that I can go to him for anything and know that He really does understand what I am going through.
