Brick Throwers

We were on construction rotation today and it was a blast!!! We had so much fun, at times we were so exhausted and just wanted the day to be over but for the most part we really got to know each other, danced, laughed, threw bricks, got to know the workers and just had a great time. We were there from 9-415 with an hour lunch in the middle. Before lunch we were getting "kalive" (mortar) for the workers to build a wall. We also got bricks for them (pn. brrrrrick-rolling the r). They would yell wait, more, or stop at us because they were simple enough ways to get across what they needed. It was fun to be able to converse more with the workers and to get to know them and to have a little fun! There were three workers that I would pass things to: Baskar, Baskar and Ari (Oscar, Bascar & Harry as we renamed them).  After lunch we threw bricks. Literally. We would toss bricks from the ground up to the second floor and then in through to the inside and then to the back room of the house. There was an assembly throwing line of 9 of us! It was fun to do but exhausting and the boss man kept yelling at us to throw faster. He corrected our way of throwing about 7 different times. He wanted it to be done HIS way. Silliness.
Here is a miniature pile of bricks compared to the amount that we moved by throwing.
The stairs that we climbed up about 100 times carrying buckets of sand or bringing down bricks (on our head).
Look at me. A pro at carrying things on my head!
I was sitting up on the ladder being handed buckets of calive and lots of bricks to pass up to the workers.
I love Kaylee's face in this picture! So intense.
This is the way they were being thrown up to the second story!
Here is a picture from the side of us! Kaylee, me, Chenelle!

Dirty, sweaty, and gross after a LONG days work!
Cute little Rosemary (sassy girl) from my "family" that I visit and put to bed at night. She just wanted to take LOTS of pictures with me at playtime today!
Taylor! She is so cute.
I just love Jonathan. He is so fun and ALWAYS wants me to spin him!
BEGGING me to spin him in circles. You got me, I caved. I love the little guy.
Sanjay and I! I love playtime! We play soccer almost every day and he taught me how to play marbles and we played some cricket! Such fun I am having being able to learn new things and just have fun!
