T.I.I.

This is India. That's all there is to say. We went to church today and let me just say I am so incredibly grateful to have a church building only ten minutes away from my house. We had to travel two hours to Chennai for church and then another two hours to get back. I have so much respect for the members and investigators that travel that far every Sunday. That is so commendable. So, one of the people that went to church with us had to go to a meeting about twenty minutes away from the chapel. His meeting wasn't going to be done until about two he said. We had 9am church. So, if the van was going to wait for him, they were going to be waiting for a little while. We decided that this would be okay because there were a few people that wanted to go shopping at Spencers, a shopping mall nearby. They needed to fill up a van, so I volunteered to go which I didn't quite get the message that we would be having to wait for three hours for someone. Well, it was an adventure in and of itself. I got a lot of presents for people at home so that was good! I think that I got things that they like and I hope that they aren't dumb things! We ate Chinese food for lunch which was fun. It was nice to eat noodles and a different type of sauce and normal vegetables. We got back to the Marriott where we were supposed to pick him up at two and we waited for a little over an hour. We went inside and bought some ice cream, so that was nice, but it was frustrating because he didn't answer his phone and we were sick of waiting. Finally, at about 3:15 he showed up and said he had been planning on calling us when he got finished. Such frustration and miscommunication, but what can ya do?! Just enjoy it. This is India after all. I am here to love it and enjoy it and that is what I will do!
