A love like no other.

Whatever would we do without Kaylee day in and day out making us smile?!
Amy and Kaylee even serenaded us on our way to Bethel Nagar, the colony we went to today!

Have you ever met someone that is so thankful for everything you do for them yet it is so little and the courage and love that they show is so much more? Sometimes I just can't fathom the amount of love that the people on the leprosy colonies show to us. They thank us beyond what I ever thought was possible and more.
I absolutely loved this woman. She was so sweet and loving. The ultimate grandma.
I love this second picture because she said picture and we took the first one, and then she saw it and said no no and made me come back for another one and pulled me in closer so that our faces were touching and held my face like that and it was such a sweet moment I just was so happy to be able to be there with her!
Kaylee and one of the ladies on the colony. She was in so much pain and Kaylee just has a way with the people.
Oh my goodness. This man is just the best. There are no words to describe. He was so sweet and loving, but when he was getting his ulcers cut out he was in so much pain. You could see by the look on his face that he was just doing everything in his mind to be okay with it. He kept yelling Hallelujah and pointing above him the whole time and he wanted us to say it too. He was almost completely blind due to the leprosy and as you can see had no fingers and didn't have toes either.
This sweet man was waiting for his wife just sitting here after he had already been bandaged up and you could see the pain in his eyes, the disease has started to get to his eyes and they are drooping and he cannot close his eyelids so he will soon be blind.
All the kids around 5 and up love us but too much younger than that and they are just scared of us because we are white! They have never seen that before and I am sure they think it's so weird. He is giving Kaylee the...I don't trust you look! Hahah so cute.

I LOVE INDIA!

  1. It seems like you girls bring so much joy to these people just by being willing to touch and care for them. They have had so little tenderness in their lives, and so much pain. Thank you for sharing.
